In the forest and by the seaside, the international campsite Les Gros Joncs offers in the shelter of sand dunes a flowery setting for a restful holiday.

Nestled on the edge of a forest 200 meters from the sea with direct access, Camping Les Gros Joncs welcomes you in a flowery and landscaped park of 5 hectares. Stay in a chalet or mobile home equipped with every comfort or on a caravan site. In a zen atmosphere, allow yourself a few moments of relaxation at the SPA: body care, modeling, beauty care and balneotherapy. Relax in an indoor swimming pool heated to 29° with balneotherapy facilities.

On site, from mid-April to mid-September, Complexe La Jonchaie opens its doors: mini-market, bar restaurant and outdoor pool with slide. In high season, a children's club welcomes children from 4 to 12 years old.

Short presentation

Rental of chalet and mobile-home with all comforts in a quiet environment by the sea in the middle of nature. The campsite has a Spa with balneotherapy, an indoor heated swimming pool, an outdoor heated swimming pool equipped with paddling pool and slides, a children's club (in July and August), a bar-restaurant and a mini-market.

Services, leisures and animations

Our Spa is open from April to mid-November. The indoor swimming pool is heated to 29 ° with balneotherapy jets. The heated outdoor pool is open from May to September (depending on weather conditions). The swimming pool (progressive depth from 0.60 meters to 2 meters), the paddling pool and a slide are at your disposal for some aquatic pleasures.

The bar-restaurant and the mini-market _La Jonchaie_ await you from April to September, the snack bar and take-away meals July & August . At the reception desk: cruise bookings, reduced ticket prices, bike rental, WIFI (at a charge). Ticket dispenser

Description of region

Located between the mouth of the Charente river and the Atlantic Ocean, Oléron is the largest island off the French coast, with the exeption of Corsica. It is a wonderl place to spend a holiday. The Oleron island has a variety of landscapes, forests, swamplands and rocky cliffs that blend together in perfect harmony. Its sandy beaches stretch for a hundred kilometers. Thanks to its climate and geographical location, the Oleron island is a privileged sunny site for practising numerous sports involving the sea, wind and sand.

Road advice

Itinerary by car: at the first roundabout of the Ile d' Oléron, go straight ahead (second exit). At the second roundabout, take the second exit towards Le Grand Village. At Grand Village, at the third roundabout, take the first exit towards La Cotinière. Go straight on for about 20 km. The campsite is located 6 km north of La Cotinière, on the left.

Motorhome and caravan itinerary: at the exit of the bridge, take the direction of Saint-Pierre d' Oléron. In St Pierre, at the second traffic light (Gendarmerie), turn left in the direction of La Cotinière. At La Cotinière, turn right (avenue des Pins) towards Chassiron lighthouse. The campsite is located 6 km north of La Cotinière, on the left.
